With the common objective of disseminating significant information and data in the fastest possible way, Filipiniana.net and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) embark on a partnership to create a one-stop knowledge portal on probably the most important industry in the Philippines as well as other parts of the world – the agricultural industry. This project, the Agricultural Studies Collection, is essentially an attempt to present a faster but equally reliable means of sharing information on recent innovation, data and trends in agriculture, specifically those dealing with the production of Asia's staple food – rice Intended as a repository for IRRI publications and materials, this collection will contain full texts of proceedings from conferences, meetings and workshops, as well as preliminary results of researches made by IRRI scientists and their partners.
The bulk of the Agricultural Studies Collection constitutes of various issues of Discussion Paper and Limited Proceedings Series provided by the International Rice Research Institute, which will be made available on the Internet for free every day of the week.
